This is a delicious recipe which is based on the white bread recipe.

Prep Time: 120 mins
Cook Time: 30 mins
Total Time: 150 mins
Ingredients
    Filling
  • 2/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1.5 tbsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup Butter (At room temp (easily spreadable))
  • Frosting
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 3 tbsp butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
Instructions
  1. Prepare dough using white bread recipe. After the 1st rising, use half of the dough to make this recipe.
  2. Pre-mix dry ingredients in a small bowl.
  3. Roll out dough on a slightly floured surface. Roll to about 1/8"-1/4" thick (thickness will double when cooked).
  4. Use hands and spread the butter all over the surface of the dough (Try to leave 1/2" uncovered on the long edge, this will help seal up the cinnamon bun when rolled and cut). The warmth of your hand will help melt the butter to spread easily.
  5. Sprinkle the sugar/cinnamon mixture of the entire surface.
  6. Roll dough into a log (along the long side). Cut into 1" pieces using a sharp knife or dental floss.
  7. Line a 9 x 12 baking dish with parchment paper (you will thank me later, after clean up time). Place cinnamon dough piece even spaced in the disk. Note: overcrowding will cause the bun centers to rise when they cook.
  8. Cover with a damp dish cloth or saran wrap, let rise for 45-60 minutes.
  9. Baking
  10. Preheat over to 350F.
  11. Uncover baking dish, bake for approx 30 minute or until tops are nice and golden. Remove from oven to cool in dish.
  12. Allow to cool before frosting.
  13. Frosting
  14. In the bowl of an electric mixer, combine cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
  15. Beat until smooth and fluffy. Spread over cinnamon rolls and serve immediately. Enjoy!
