Brownies

A chocolate brownie is a flat, baked square or bar.  The brownie is a cross between a cake and a cookie in texture.  Brownies come in a variety of forms. They are either fudge or cake "like", depending on their density, and they may include nuts, frosting, chocolate chips, or other ingredients. A variation that is made with brown sugar and no chocolate is called a blondie.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 cup White Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 3/4 cup White All-purpose Flour
  • 4 tbsp Cocoa ("Heaping")
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 Large Eggs
Instructions
  1. Melt butter and add cocoa.  Mix well.
  2. Add all other dry ingredients. Mix well.
  3. Bake at 375F for 20 minutes.
