Ingredients

Peeled and sliced apples
(Tarty apples make better pies)

tsp
lemon juice
(to spinkle on cut apples to prevent browning)

1/2
cup
Brown Sugar

tsp
Cinnamon

Flour
Instructions

Peel and slice apples. Sprinkle the lemon juice over the freshly sliced apples and toss the apples pieces around. The lemon juice prevents oxidation and the apples from turning brown.

Mix in a bowl apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and flour.

Place mixture into a pie crust.

Dot with butter.

Cover with top crust.

Bake in oven at 400 degrees F for 15 minutes, then lower to 350 degrees F for 35-45 minutes.
